“In July 2022, I gave myself the “assignment” of writing about each of the arcana in occultist + surrealist painter Ithell Colquhoun’s Taro as Colour deck. In 78 days, I had written about all 78 arcana, + Tarot as Questions was born.

As I created Tarot as Questions, I recalled my first tarot sketchbook + longed to make something that you could participate in creating. So on the left page of each spread is my writing on the arcana, including several questions. I’ve left the facing page as an open space for you to use any way you want. This is how you will connect most deeply with the tarot, + where its true power lives —in the meaning, significance + resonance you find in your very personal relationship to it.” ~ shea
